Booking FMSA Recording Studio

Note – Booking time guidelines:

• 2nd Years = 3 hours per semester
• 3rd Years = 6 hours per semester
• 4th Years = 9 hours per semester

These limits are in place to ensure a fair and equitable distributuion among the many users of these spaces. Exceptions can be made to your booking time, with permission from the technicians in FMSA. For example, you may borrow hours from another student who is not intending to use the space. These are guidelines only; please speak with a tech if you have need for more time.

In the form below, you’ll see selections for both the Live Room and the Control Room. Depending on your production needs, you may require one or both rooms. If you are recording onto your laptop into Premiere or Audition (for example), you can simply book the Live Room. If you’re recording onto the Control Room Pro Tools setup, you’ll need to book both the Live Room and the Control Room.*

*Please note that you must have passed the SOUN-300/320 course before you can independantly book the Control Room. If you require assistance using the studio, please check the appropriate box on the form below.
